In recognition of Yom HaShoah, Illinois State University’s School of Theatre, Dance, and Film, in collaboration with the Moses Montefiore Congregation, will present a play reading of Goodbye, Marianne, directed by Rebekah Scallet, the artistic director of St. Louis’s New Jewish Theatre and an ISU alum. Following the readings there will be brief talkbacks moderated by Dr. Alvin Goldfarb.
Prior to the reading at MMT, there will be a brief Yom HaShoah service.
There will also be a dessert reception following the reading at MMT hosted by Elaine and Alvin Goldfarb in honor of his grandparents and uncles, who perished in the Holocaust, and his parents who survived.
